February brought an Arctic Cold front and then snow began on Saturday night (4 Feb.) We watched from our balcony as snow poured down.
Early the next morning we looked out our windows to a pristine white world.

I had fun walking around the college and taking photos. The students seemed to be sleeping in.

That first daffodil now frozen.

The wisteria arbor

The Sundial Garden
And a little bird's footprints. Later the students were out with bread for the birds.

And Morrison House
The college dining hall closed and a scheduled Tea was postponed. We walked down past Newnham to a favorite restaurant The Rice Bowl and had a delicious lunch. We saw snowmen!
This one, maybe a giraffe, was particularly ambitious. I wish we had seen it finished.
There was ice in the Cam.
Looking up into the trees
And down among sprouting shrubs

What a magical day!
