Life on the Lofoten was good! We had a comfortable dining room. Breakfast and Lunch were buffet style.
Dinner was a seated affair. Our partners were Louis and Sylvie and we had good viewing from our table.

Louis grabbed this good looking sweater while stopping at a port. It suits him!
Delicious food was served graciously!
Our sleeping arrangement was rather cramped, but it was more comfortable than it looks as I slept soundly on that upper bunk all night (what you see is not me but my duvet rolled up) ! Kevin on the bottom slept well, also (and that is Kevin).
I was enamored of the views from our porthole.
If we were fortunate enough to be on this cruise again, I would choose room 304!
When we crossed the Arctic Circle, we were given caster oil by the chief chef--some kind of tradition!
Louis tasting his caster oil. Captain Amundson is behind him. Sylvie taking one photo! I must have been taking the other!
Cakes and Celebrations on Norweigian Independence Day!
As delicious as they were pretty!
Festive welcomes and big parades everyplace we stopped.
We watched special programs on the Telly!
The Lofoten crew formed its own parade and Passengers followed!
And back on the ship more amazing views
And whenever we passed another Hurtigurtigan ship, there was an exuberant rendition of "Country Roads," Norweigian style. The passing ships were always much bigger than the Lofoten but we were the most exuberant and noisier!
Life is Good!
